From tigers to giraffes, this zoo offers a unique safari experience where the animals roam freely, and you’re the visitor in their world. Located about 40 km from Kanchanaburi town, it's a bit of a drive, but totally worth it!

Hop on a safari ride for a close encounter with the wildlife, feed some of the friendlier animals, and enjoy exciting animal shows that are fun for the whole family. It’s like being on a real safari, right here in Thailand!

Sai Yok National Park

Nature lovers, this one's for you! Sai Yok National Park is a natural wonderland filled with waterfalls, caves, and hot springs. It’s about 100 km from Kanchanaburi town, but the journey there is an adventure in itself.

Once you arrive, there’s plenty to do—hike through lush forests, camp under the stars, or take a refreshing dip in the park’s famous waterfalls. Keep an eye out for wildlife; you might spot some colorful birds or even a shy deer. Don’t miss the Sai Yok Waterfall—it’s a natural water slide that’s perfect for cooling off after a day of exploration.

Cave Temple Trio: Wat Tham Suea, Wat Ban Tham, and Wat Tham Khao Pun

Next, we’re off to explore the mystical cave temples of Kanchanaburi. These temples are not just places of worship; they’re like stepping into a fantasy world.

First up is Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple), where you’ll climb 157 steps to reach a tiger-shaped pagoda offering panoramic views of the River Kwai. Then, head to Wat Ban Tham, where you enter through the mouth of a dragon into a cave filled with colorful paintings and statues. Finally, explore Wat Tham Khao Pun, a natural cave system with nine underground chambers, each with its own unique story and statues. These temples are a bit off the beaten path, but they’re well worth the trip!

The War Museum

Our last historical stop is the War Museum in Kanchanaburi town. This museum is a treasure trove of World War II artifacts, from vintage weapons to personal belongings of soldiers. It’s like stepping back in time and walking in the shoes of those who lived through the war.

Located near the River Kwai Bridge, the museum offers a fascinating look at the past. Special Trip: Sai Yok Noi Waterfall

Finally, I’ll take you on a special trip to Sai Yok Noi Waterfall, also known as Khao Pang Waterfall. This hidden gem is a slice of paradise with crystal-clear water, lush greenery, and a serene atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing end to our adventure.

We also explored the Tham Krasae Bridge and stayed at River Kwai Cabin Park, where the kids had a blast with a hiking simulator. Our accommodation at Baan Phupha Resort featured floating houses—an unforgettable experience sleeping on water!

We wrapped up our day with a lovely dinner. The next morning, we headed to Sai Yok Noi Waterfall, where everyone enjoyed swimming and climbing on rocks. It was the perfect way to end our adventure in Kanchanaburi!
